Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess environments, develop and document long-term roadmap/vision for infrastructure organization and network in-line with the Corporate strategy, drive execution towards the vision, and broadcast the continued progress against the road-map
  • Understand latest technologies and proactively consider their use to provide a continued stable platform in the future hosting systems of differentiation and allowing nimbleness to respond to ever-increasing system demands to achieve the strategic objectives of the business
  • Continually review, acquire, utilize and oversee strategic partners to assist in achieving our road map in-line with Corporate Objectives
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to establish problem resolution expectations and time frames, and other meaningful KPI to measure team’s performance
  • Establish internal policies and procedures (related to ITIL or other framework) that outline how problems are identified, documented, assigned and corrected
  • Analyze performance of Service Desk activities/process and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance self-service options, stronger quality of service and prevent future problems
  • Plan and conduct performance appraisals of Infrastructure staff, administer disciplinary action, raises, bonuses and promotions when applicable
  • Prepare budget proposals and execute against final approved budget, assuring all renewal and license compliance’s are met
  • Develop routine evaluations and upgrade cycles for existing software and hardware
  • Identify opportunities for improved proactive monitoring of systems & applications and implement
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and continually maximize the use and capabilities of the Service Desk system
  • Update and exercise Disaster Recovery regularly, identifying any deficiencies that must be addressed with future budgets and creating plans to mitigate; own the back-up and high-availability practices to assure 24×7 uninterrupted system availability and support
  • Develop the network team in areas to support the IT Vision/Roadmap and train the masses in appropriate and strong security practices
  • Communicate clearly all strategy to IT team, initiatives to business stakeholders, and be the main, constant voice during any issue mitigation times
  • Devise and enforce additional technology security practices throughout the entire organizations and ensure a technologically secure environment
  • Coordinate and contribute to the 24×7 on-call, off-hours support rotation
  • Oversee development and communication of knowledge base articles/guides for end-users and any applicable training to increase self-sufficiency among end-users
  • Train, coach and mentor all staff; manage the overall service desk activities and change control processes.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of network administrator experience with a minimum of 5 years managing an infrastructure team.
  • Seasoned people leadership, planning infrastructure department budgets, roadmaps and business continuity/disaster recovery plans
  • Experience with ITIL or similar methodology within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven success eliminating on-prem data center footprints and migrating infrastructure to the cloud in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in leading the charge to mobilize a workforce in a safe, secure and user-friendly way

Preferred Requirements:

  • Admin experience with: Citrix, VMWare, SharePoint and other Microsoft Solutions (NAV ERP, D365, O365), Active Directory, Windows Server, and Group Policy. HPE SimpliVity experience or other hyper-converged infrastructure
