Christian Yelich, Milwaukee Brewers All-Star Outfield, is using his platform to give back to the Milwaukee community.

On Thursday, May 11, the NL MVP and Silver Slugger Winner hosted “Christian Yelich’s Home Plate Charity Benefit” at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. The evening included games for all ages, live and silent auctions, food and drink from various Milwaukee vendors, and live performances by comedian Charlie Berens and singer Kelley James, all to raise funds for economically disadvantaged little league baseball teams in the Milwaukee Area. It was Yelich’s first charity fundraising event since starting with the Brewers in 2018.

“I’m excited to give back to the city of Milwaukee, a community that has given me so much,” Yelich said.

Approximately 300 Milwaukee-area business and community leaders attended the sold-out event that was put together by Milwaukee restaurant operator, Omar Shaikh, and full-service sports marketing and entertainment agency, Team Lammi. New Resources Consulting participated as a table sponsor and NRC’s Tim Dooley, Sr. Director of Customer Success, was in attendance. At the end of the night, the benefit raised about $325,000.
