Operation Finally Home
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Operation Finally Home. Operation Finally Home was established in 2005 as a nonpartisan/nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and has already had a significant impact across the country. To date, they have over 250 home projects completed or in-planning, in 33 states providing custom-built, mortgage-free homes to America’s military heroes and the widows of the fallen, those who have worn America’s uniform and sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and values.
SSM Health Foundation
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the SSM Health Foundation. In 1872, SSM Health Foundation’s founding sisters began their ministry of healing with just $5 and a basket to collect donations and carry medical supplies to serve those in need. Today, nearly 150 years later, SSM Health Foundation – St. Louis carries on its legacy of courage and compassion through fundraising efforts to support SSM Health hospitals, healthcare workers, and patients.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald House programs, located near top children’s hospitals, allow parents who are far from home to stay close to their hospitalized child and benefit from the comforts of home without incurring hotel and food costs. Ronald McDonald Family Room programs offer a quiet respite for all families right in the hospital, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile programs bring fundamental medical and dental care to underserved communities.
Advocate Aurora’s COVID Relief Fund for Critical Care
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the Advocate Aurora’s COVID Relief Fund for Critical Care. The Relief Fund for Critical Care provides additional resources to Advocate Aurora’s patients, families, and communities and further supports the physicians, nurses, and team members who are working tirelessly.
Children's Wisconsin The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Children’s Wisconsin. In Milwaukee and throughout the state, Children’s Wisconsin provides kids and their families a wide range of care and support—everything from routine care for ear aches or sore throats to life-saving advances and treatment options. Children’s Wisconsin’s academic partner The Medical College of Wisconsin, brings many of the nation’s most well-respected doctors to their team. Together, they work to ensure that every child and family they serve receives nothing but the best.
Feeding Northeast Florida
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Feeding Northeast Florida. Feeding Northeast Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. They work with retail partners, manufacturers, and farms to rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need. Thanks to the generosity of their community, Feeding Northeast Florida is able to purchase additional food resources to meet the needs of Northeast Florida families and individuals who struggle to put food on the table. The support of their partners and individuals enables their work to serve neighbors in need.
United Way of Portage County
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the United Way of Portage County. Organized in 1967, the United Way of Portage County is a volunteer-based organization that supports the greatest variety of health and human services in the county, reaching people from all walks of life and income groups. Its single community-wide campaign unites businesses, volunteers, and citizens to raise funds to support local family and community needs.
American Cancer Society
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Their Global Headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and they have regional and local offices throughout the country to ensure the American Cancer Society has a presence in every community.
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Feeding America. Today, Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization—a powerful and efficient network of 200 food banks across the country. As food insecurity rates hold steady at the highest levels ever, the Feeding America network of food banks has risen to meet the need. The organization feeds 40 million people at risk of hunger, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors.
Women's Care Center - Milwaukee The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to the Women’s Care Center of Milwaukee. Women’s Care Center provides free, confidential counseling, support, and education for pregnant women in the community. Free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds help determine viability and dates. Women’s Care Center serves 30,000 women annually from 34 centers in 12 states, including Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Boy Scouts of AmericaThe NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be “Prepared. For Life®” The Scouting organization is composed of approximately 2.2 million youth members between the ages of 5 and 21 and approximately 800,000 volunteers in local councils throughout the United States and its territories. Since its inception in 1910, more than 130 million young men and women have participated in the BSA’s youth programs.
The NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to i.c.stars. i.c.stars works to activate a technology community of change agents to power social and economic freedom. Working with low-income young adults, this organization provides them with employment opportunities and prepares them for community-based advocacy, allowing i.c.stars to achieve their social purpose.
The NRC Foundation provided a donation to the Marfan Foundation. Founded in 1981, the Marfan Foundation is dedicated to creating a brighter future for everyone affected by Marfan syndrome and related conditions. The Marfan Foundation tirelessly advances the research for treatments that save lives and dramatically enhance individuals’ quality of life while also providing a supportive community for everyone affected by Marfan syndrome and related conditions.
Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee
The NRC Foundation provided a donation to the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee. The Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee is a community foundation working to grow its endowment to ensure there are always resources available to strategically support initiatives to advance equity for women and girls and are the only foundation in Milwaukee to do so.
Women in Project ManagementThe NRC Foundation recently provided a donation to Women in Project Management. Founded in 2015, Women in Project Management is the only community created to support and amplify the voices of women and women of color in every specialty of the project management industry worldwide.
Giving is Good
The NRC Foundation provided a donation to Giving is Good, a charity dedicated to donating daily use items to provide comfort to those in need. Giving is Good helps those in need around the globe with programs such as We Love to Give Contest, Articulate Someone Great, Nominate a GREAT family, Giving is Golden, Slippers for Veterans, G.I.G.gle Bags (Giving is Good Bags), and Operation Christmas Child.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
The NRC Foundation provided a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is dedicated to fighting the world’s toughest cancer – attacking it on all fronts: research, clinical initiatives, patient services, and advocacy.
The Guest House
The NRC Foundation supported The Guest House by purchasing $1,000 worth of items from their Amazon Wish List. The Guest House of Milwaukee is the largest publicly funded homeless shelter in the city and has been leading its community in ending the cycle of poverty in its clients’ lives for nearly forty years.
Colon Cancer Coalition
The NRC Foundation donated to the Colon Cancer Coalition. What started as one woman’s vision has since grown into a national coalition of people determined to end colorectal cancer deaths by increasing screening and educating others about the signs and symptoms of this treatable disease. The Colon Cancer Coalition wants all people to understand their risk factors and get the right screening at the right time.
The NRC Foundation donated to the Lupus Foundation. The Lupus Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support, and advocacy.
Milwaukee Hunger Task Force
The NRC Foundation donated to the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force. The Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. They work to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger-free community tomorrow.
Best Buddies of Wisconsin
The NRC Foundation raised money for Best Buddies of Wisconsin. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
