At New Resources Consulting, we believe that the spirit of community and giving is what truly defines us. This Fall, we were thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone and honor for one of our own. Don Weber, NRC’s VP of Strategic Accounts, has been a steadfast member of the Best Buddies family for over a decade, and his recent campaign for “Champion of the Year” is a testament to his unwavering commitment and passion.
Don’s journey with Best Buddies began over ten years ago, inspired by the extraordinary friendships and dedication he witnessed within the organization. His connection grew deeper through his bond with Jacob, Madeline, and Scott Borkin. Don, alongside the Borkin family and his own sons, Jack and Sam, has participated in countless events, from Friendship Walks to biking challenges across the country, golf outings, and more. These activities were not just events but milestones in building a community that cherishes every individual’s contribution. Their collective efforts this year focused on a spirited campaign, uniting friends and family to raise funds for Best Buddies WI and fostering an environment where friendship and inclusivity flourish.
The culmination of these efforts was beautifully showcased on November 2, 2023, at The Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, WI, where the Best Buddies Champion of the Year celebration took place. It was a night of joy, recognition, and fellowship. We are thrilled to announce that Don Weber, along with Jacob Borkin, were crowned Grand Champions, raising over $22,000 for Best Buddies Wisconsin. Their achievement is a monumental contribution towards enriching the lives of individuals within the Best Buddies program and beyond.
Don’s dedication surpasses just his actions; it’s the spirit of giving and camaraderie he fosters in all of us at NRC. His commitment reflects the values we hold dear, and we are incredibly proud to have him as part of our team. Don, together with the Borkin family and everyone involved, exemplifies what it means to support one another, celebrate differences, and work together for a brighter, more equitable future.
