On June 19, 2025—a day that marked both Juneteenth and an opportunity for meaningful community support—the NRC Foundation hosted its annual charity golf outing at The Bog in Saukville, WI. While Northcott Neighborhood House organized one of the largest Juneteenth celebrations in the country, over 100 friends, clients, and colleagues of New Resources Consulting (NRC) came together to raise funds that will directly benefit this vital Milwaukee Organization.
Participants traveled from across Wisconsin, Illinois, and as far as Virginia to take part in the event. The outing was filled with camaraderie, friendly competition, and generosity, from raffle ticket sales to 50/50 drawings. One lucky participant from Green Bay took home over $900, while the culminating grand prize—a four-night stay at the Pink Shell Resort in Fort Myers, Florida—created plenty of excitement.
All proceeds from the day were matched by NRC President and CEO Mark Grosskopf, resulting in a significant donation to Northcott Neighborhood House. As Northcott’s Executive Director Tony Kearney, Sr. shared upon receiving the news, “Every dollar helps our programs thrive and serve more children and parents.”
Northcott Neighborhood House has been a pillar of Milwaukee’s Harambee community since 1960. Known as “the doers, helpers, and champions for a stronger, more resilient Milwaukee” (as NRC’s Jess Harris described during the outing), Northcott offers a wide range of services:
- Milwaukee’s largest food pantry
- Youth development and job training programs, including Milwaukee Build and the Arborist Program
- Community celebrations and outreach, including one of the nation’s largest Juneteenth events
- Seasonal initiatives like the annual Back to School Rally and holiday meal and gift drives
While financial contributions make a tremendous impact, Northcott’s day-to-day success also relies on hands-on support. Volunteers are always needed to help package and deliver food, assist with holiday gift wrapping, and support other community activities.
