New Resources Consulting (NRC), a technology and business consulting leader, is proud to announce the promotion of Christopher Hippensteel to Director of Information Technology, effective November 1, 2023. This promotion recognizes Christopher’s exceptional contributions and steadfast commitment to enhancing NRC’s technological landscape since his start in November 2017.
As a former Network/System Administrator, Christopher has been instrumental in upgrading and maintaining NRC’s infrastructure. His efforts have significantly enhanced the company’s operational efficiency, resilience, and compliance. Notable among his achievements is the successful conversion from an outdated Dell SAN to a robust 3 Node Nutanix cluster, which has resulted in zero unplanned server outages in over five years and substantial licensing cost savings by shifting to Nutanix’s AHV Hypervisor.
Christopher’s forward-thinking approach also led to the successful migration of NRC’s operations to the Cloud, including the transition to Microsoft 365. This move has streamlined collaboration and file access and positioned NRC for seamless remote working during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his guidance, NRC has also seen a considerable improvement in IT security, with the implementation of Sophos security solutions and Meraki Firewalls, ensuring a high level of protection against cyber threats.
In his new role as Director of Information Technology, Christopher will continue to drive NRC’s technology strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative solutions that align with the company’s mission of delivering superior technology solutions to clients across the US. His vision for the future includes a continued focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure optimization, and leveraging emerging technologies to keep NRC at the forefront of the industry.
