New Resources Consulting was thrilled to welcome over 50 guests for our first technical briefing of 2023. The event was held at City Lights Brewing Company in Milwaukee, where guests enjoyed unseasonably fantastic weather in the beer garden before moving upstairs for dinner and our discussion panel.
The panel was moderated by Dale Mittelstaedt, a long-time friend of NRC who now serves as VP of Platform and Process Integration at HSA Bank. Our lineup of speakers included Mike Krenzke, VP of Research and Development at ConsortiEX; Patrick Gaynor, IT Delivery Manager at R.W. Baird; and David Manske, Senior Director of IT Digital Strategy and Technology at Generac Power Systems, Inc.
Panelists convened to discuss DevOps, a general collection of flexible software creation and delivery practices. Essentially, DevOps seeks to close the gap between software development and IT operations. Throughout the panel, speakers explored culture, the role of automation in DevOps, tooling to support automation and build a DevOps practice, security and DevOps, measuring for success, and challenges to success.
It was a thorough discussion further enhanced by attendees’ thoughtful questions and remarks. Many lively conversations could be overheard during the networking hour that followed. We thank everyone who came out and supported this event, especially our moderator and panelists who so generously shared their time and expertise.
