Chris Hakala brings a global perspective and calm confidence to every project he touches. With experience spanning multiple clients and continents, Chris knows that no two organizations, and no two IT projects, are ever quite the same. That mindset has made him a trusted contributor and a steady presence on the NRC team.
Here is a look at Chris’s perspective on consulting, teamwork, and problem-solving.
What is your job title?

Beyond your title, how would you describe what you do at NRC and for your clients?
Working across multiple clients has shown me how different organizations approach IT projects. Each one brings a unique spin to how they’re organized and implemented.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Enjoying retirement.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I take pride in all that I do. It doesn’t matter whether the size or scope of the project is large or small.

What do you enjoy most about working for NRC?
I enjoy the people the most. It’s a great, fun group to work with. I also enjoy sharing past experiences and perspectives that might help the team with current work.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you.
