New Resources Consulting (NRC), the Milwaukee-based technology consulting firm, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Department of Computer Science at Concordia University Wisconsin to provide real-world experience to graduates specializing in Mobile Application Development.
Don Weber, New Resources’ Vice President of Strategic Accounts, announced the formal partnership and praised Concordia’s Computer Science Chair, Dr. Mike Litman, for his dedication to education, the burgeoning success of Mobile App Development students, and the significant efforts he has made to revise the computer science curriculum of both the undergraduate and graduate programs over the past three years.
Students participating in the programs within the Department of Computer Science can graduate with working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Game Programming, Virtual/Augmented Reality, and more. Throughout their education, students utilize industry standard tools ensuring that each student is equipped to enter the workforce immediately after graduation.
“Dr. Litman has done tremendous work and we look forward to this partnership and the ability to provide our clients with top talent as well as match those new to the workforce with employment in this high-demand industry,” said Mr. Weber. “NRC’s reputation for innovative solutions and Dr. Litman’s dedication to developing and mentoring superior technologists is an added value that we can offer our client partners.”
Experienced consultants with strong technical and/or business skills are in demand and command high salaries. Even for companies that have the budget to support talented technologists, those with the desired expertise are in short supply. Graduates from Concordia will enter NRC’s Talent Incubator Program developed to identify, train, and coach local and diverse talent to fill enterprise application roles. Participants will receive real-world practical experience, working on implementations and upgrades, combined with classroom training from NRC’s Technology Solutions Group’s most experienced IT experts. Those that complete the Talent Incubator Program will have the opportunity to move on to permanent roles within one of NRC’s solution groups or matched to an appropriate employer and project.
