What is your job title?
Senior Payroll Consultant
Beyond your title, how would you describe what you do at NRC and for your clients?
I’m the go-to person for complex payroll transformation and harmonization projects. I specialize in aligning technical systems with business needs, ensuring payroll systems are properly configured, data is accurately converted and tested, and enhancements are implemented. My work often involves harmonizing processes across multiple regions to deliver consistent, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself continuing to lead large-scale payroll transformation projects, with a strong focus on strategic payroll system design and process optimization. I aim to be in a role where I can mentor and coach teams, sharing what I’ve learned over the years while driving continuous improvement and innovation in payroll technology and compliance.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of successfully transitioning four markets from monthly to biweekly payroll while harmonizing time-and-attendance rules across all of them. I also led the migration from KRONOS WFD to Symplr, tackling complex policies across markets. These projects were delivered on time, aligned with policy goals, and significantly improved payroll accuracy and compliance.
How have you grown professionally at NRC?
At NRC, I’ve grown from being a payroll system expert to becoming a transformation leader. I’ve developed a broader perspective on multi-region payroll process harmonization, sharpened my data analysis and conversion skills, and gained confidence managing large-scale implementations with multiple stakeholders. I’ve also strengthened my ability to align technical solutions with strategic business goals.
What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them?
One of the biggest challenges has been that, while NRC has experience with Workday, it isn’t a preferred Workday partner, so access to training and sandbox environments wasn’t readily available. To overcome that, I leaned into my payroll experience to quickly learn the product’s features and functionality during the implementation. I took a hands-on, proactive approach, collaborating closely with customer teams during configuration and testing, and leveraging my broader payroll knowledge to deliver results despite limited resources.
What do you enjoy most about working for NRC?
I love the collaborative environment. Everyone is focused on delivering high-quality solutions and supporting continuous improvement. There’s a real commitment to working together and solving complex challenges, which makes every project feel like a shared success.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you.
Outside of work, I’m deeply involved in community service and education initiatives. As a past president and PHF Donor of Rotary International, I’ve led projects in India—supplying projectors, water tanks, clothing, and building classroom and restroom facilities in rural schools.
I also run two year-round study centers in rural areas, equipped with books and computers to help students prepare for government exams. Every year, at least two students from these centers have successfully secured government jobs in Tamil Nadu, India.
Locally, I’m active in the Tamil community—helping preserve Indian culture and organizing food drives, park cleanups, and blood donation events. Outside of volunteering, I enjoy photography and traveling to explore new places.
